Soul of Christ

When I was at a low point, I sat in a pew. Outreaching into the hymnal, a paper fell out. It read:

Soul Of Christ:
Soul of Christ, sanctify me. Body of Christ, save me. Blood of Christ, flood my senses. Water from Thy side, strengthen me.
O gracious Jesus, hear me calling; within Thy wounds hide me. O gracious Jesus, never leave me; protect me from all evil. O loving Jesus, call me to You, where I may praise You always.

I cried deeply knowing I was being cleansed, released, strengthened. Joy is what we need to radiate under all earthly pressures. This all coinciding with Ascension Thursday – truly amazes. Pentecost is Sunday, when the Holy Spirit came from the Soul of Jesus, 40 days after, it was the final act of our redemption that Christ began on Good Friday.
