Soul of Christ
When I was at a low point, I sat in a pew. Outreaching into the hymnal, a paper fell out. It read:
Soul Of Christ:
Soul of Christ, sanctify me. Body of Christ, save me. Blood of Christ, flood my senses. Water from Thy side, strengthen me.
O gracious Jesus, hear me calling; within Thy wounds hide me. O gracious Jesus, never leave me; protect me from all evil. O loving Jesus, call me to You, where I may praise You always.
I cried deeply knowing I was being cleansed, released, strengthened. Joy is what we need to radiate under all earthly pressures. This all coinciding with Ascension Thursday – truly amazes. Pentecost is Sunday, when the Holy Spirit came from the Soul of Jesus, 40 days after, it was the final act of our redemption that Christ began on Good Friday.
Finding Your Way Out Of The Wild Wood
When we fail, I’m reminded that we can rely on the Holy Spirit to come through for us, helping us find our way out of the wild wood.
High tide – mid afternoon
People fly by in the traffics boom
Knowing – where you’re blowing
Getting to where you should be going.
Don’t let them get you down
Making you feel guilty about
Golden rain bring you riches
All the good things – you deserve now.
Climbing forever trying
Find your way out – of the wild wild wood
Now there’s no justice
There’s only yourself – that you can trust in
And I said – high tide mid afternoon
People fly by in the traffics boom
Knowing – just where you’re blowing
Getting to where you should be going.
Day by day your world fades away
Waiting to feel – all the dreams that say
Golden rain will bring you riches
All the good things – you deserve now – and I say
Climbing forever trying
Find your way out – of the wild wild wood

How do we respond? Reject it or cooperate?

Le Cœur a Ses Raisons, The Heart Has Its Reasons
“Le cœur a ses raisons, que la raison ne connaît point. On le sent en mille choses. C’est le cœur qui sent Dieu, et non la raison. Voilà ce que c’est que la foi parfaite, Dieu sensible au cœur.” – Blaise Pascal
Translation:
“The heart has its reasons, which reason does not know. We feel it in a thousand things. It is the heart which experiences God, and not the reason. This, then, is faith: God felt by the heart, not by the reason.” -Blaise Pascal
3 Hail Mary Request for Pope Francis
The Catholic Church dedicates the month of May to the Virgin Mary and prays the rosary before Marian shrines.
As bishop of Rome, Pope Francis also took possession of the Basilica of Saint Mary Major on this second visit, as he had done so with the St. Paul Outside the Walls and St. John Lateran.
