Climb your Mount Meru
Fear
Find your center with God
Leads you forward facing
All pathways through earthly kingdoms need Godlight radiating from within
Are you strong enough to make it through the kingdom of tears you enter
Climb your Mount Meru

Happy Birthday Annie!! You are a brilliant Star! Most dearly, thank you xox
Cantare amantis est, says Saint Augustine:
… Singing belongs to the one who loves.”
The Campion Missal & Hymnal (992 pages long) is the first of its kind. It is a pew book providing the faithful with everything they require to properly assist at the Traditional Latin Mass. Found at CCwatershed.org
Going into the Desert is an Initiation
Spirit leads us there
A period of testing before real work begins
Desert strips away distractions so only fundamentals are left
Essentials are life or death
Confronting negative feelings and things in life
First Temping, life is not about sensual pleasures, don’t make sensual pleasures your dominant
most basic is what is the will and purpose of God
Life is not about sensuals, basics first
Word of God is the most basic, listen and trust
Are sensuals too close to the center of my life
Second Temping is the lure of power and glory
All kingdoms of the earth are entwined with sin
Instead say yes to God and the Will of God
It could mean being invisible, dishonored, or broken
Third Temping is making the ego first
There are purposes for you that God has willed
Are you in charge of your life, putting yourself at the center
or Are you saying yes to what God willed for you?
Your life is not about you, its about God and his purposes for you
Lukian account: You shall not put the Lord God to the test
You test God, you put yourself at the center of the temple
Are you putting yourself before God
Are you the center of attention
or Are you willing to do the will of God
Above my translation from Father Barron’s first Lenten homily “Three Questions From The Desert”
We must listen and trust our Godvoice, we are not strong enough to do half of what we are destined to do, that’s why we must realize that God is leading. He’ll lead, we’ll bring his ways into the visible. -MJM
In honor of you Edna, play this chant in your heart
Candlemas Ritual for Humanity
Ushers in Law to redeem through sacrifice
Christ embeds himself into us
Accepts and chooses us to be His people
God bears divine presence
So the world can communicate with
One True God
Suffering a sacrifice, redemptive offering,
Accomplishes reconciliation with God
God is with humanity through Christ
Christ’s entering into this ritual, into the temple
Begins the effecting of the restoration
Setting all people in right relationship
With God
St. Luke’s Gospel says this is
the Revelation of the Divine Presence
Christ enters and a new age begins for the world
The Age of The Messiah
God with us
Candle recalls divine presence as a “pillar of fire”
Christ Pillar of Fire

“A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and on her head a crown of twelve stars.” -Rev 12:1
As you can see, this vision is filled with symbols. It appears that John intended his readers to see in the woman clothed with the sun the people of Israel or the new people of God. The twelve stars are one indication of that. They can be taken as representing the twelve constellations of the zodiac. But they can also be seen as symbols of the twelve tribes of Israel and the twelve apostles.
First, it signifies that the most glorious queen of heaven, the true spouse of God, was crowned in eternity. Mary received the promised “never fading crown of glory” because her life so perfectly resembled that of her Son’s and because she shared in all His sufferings. -1Peter 5:4
The most perfect crown of 12 stars represents the knowledge of all creatures. In addition the crown of 12 stars is the knowledge of all the mysteries of our own faith, the manifest divine truth of whose signs Mary most perfectly grasped and most fully understood beyond the elect, above all the apostles, and above all the angelic spirits. She understood these things to a higher degree than is even possible to contemplate, let alone express. Thus Mary advocates on our behalf in the presence of God those things which are most prudent for us.
For the Creative: A collective shock was felt when David Bowie passed this past Sunday, a couple days after his 69th birthday. Choir! Choir! Choir! teamed up with the Art Gallery of Ontario to pay tribute by singing their original arrangement of Space Oddity with 500+ singers. Performance was in Walker Court and here’s how it sounded, looked, and felt.
Interesting commentary found on Word on Fire Blog about Bowie’s death and his last works. His last album shows glimpses of hope for a starving soul.
quoted from the piece:”Most of us are familiar with Bowie’s life and know that, like many rock stars, he was was no paragon of moral virtue, and much of his art was morally questionable at best or downright blasphemous at worst. But despite all of this, he was nevertheless very human – he was searching for hope and meaning in a world that often denies both. Throughout his song, hopeful glimmers pierce through the darkness, especially the beginning and ending verses that serve as reassuring bookends…..We can take heart from this artistic glimpse of hope that David Bowie left us, as well as from these words that his wife wrote on Instagram shortly before the news of his death broke: “The struggle is real, but so is God.”
Best song on Black Star (in my humble opinion): I Can’t Give Everything Away
